Continuing a weekend of unexpected ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup results, Czech Gabriela Satkova won her first-ever ICF world cup gold on Sunday in Pau, France. 2016 Olympic gold medallist Denis Gargaud Chanut also made it back to the top of the podium.
Jessica Fox of Australia won the men’s extreme kayaking competition, and Boris Neveu of France won the women’s extreme kayaking competition. Fox also won the K1 event.

She earned her maiden World Cup medal on Sunday in Pau, and it was the gold medal at the finish of the race. She completed the race with a really fast run and incurred no penalties. Jessica Fox of Australia won the women’s extreme slalom in the afternoon, giving her a total of three medals for the weekend, two golds in kayak slalom and extreme slalom and a bronze in Sunday’s canoe final. Slovenia received silver and bronze medals as a result of Eva Terelj and Ajda Novak.
Boris Neveu of France earned his third extreme slalom World Cup medal, and second gold, in the men’s final. Giovanni De Gennaro of Italy finished second, while Pedro Goncalves of Brazil finished third.
The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup series has now moved to La Seu d’Urgell, Spain, where competitors will participate in the 2022 World Cup final next weekend.
