Whistler Canada to Host 2022 BMW IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup

On the Olympic Track in Whistler, British Columbia, athletes from all over the world will compete against one another for the first podiums of the season in the bobsleigh and skeleton events

The Bobsleigh competition, which will be held at the Whistler Canada Sliding Centre during the next Olympic quadrennial, will feature some of the world’s best ice athletes. November 24-26 will mark the first time in three years that the BMW IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup will be held on the west coast. The event will be hosted by Canada Skeleton.

The official training will begin on November 23, and the media are invited to attend. The women’s and men’s skeleton competitions will kick off the racing portion of the World Cup on November 24. On November 25, the women’s monobob and the two-man bobsleigh will take off from the starting block. The week of sliding will come to a close on November 26 with the two-woman bobsleigh and the four-man race, respectively.

The following is a list of the Canadian athletes who will compete in the world-famous Whistler Sliding Centre, where they will slide down the high-banked corners at speeds reaching up to 150 kilometers per hour.
